OUR SERVICES

Service readiness
Ofsted regulated support and accommodation
From the start of our services we have adopted the policy of operating like a regulated provider based on residential home Ofsted compliance. This has enabled us to be one step ahead of the new national framework and Ofsted's compulsory support and accommodation of 16 - 18 year old care le
avers. registration.  We have been training staff and managers on how to provide detailed report evidence and apply the upgraded policies to general delivery. â€‹

Semi Independent Living

At Beacon Placements, we believe that children are the very essence of the future. Who they are tomorrow is essentially the outcome of how they are raised and nurtured today. As a leading semi-independent service provider in the Essex area, we go above and beyond to provide our young people with empowering activities where they can fully embrace their identity and gain all the skills they need to lead a bright future.

Some activities include:
- Life skills.
- Therapeutic emotional and physical well being interventions.
- Supporting to make a planned transition on to other suitable accommodation.
- Accessing and maintaining education, training and work.
- Equipping young to live independently.

Floating Support

Floating support can help you resolve a housing crisis and improve your skills and confidence to take control of your life and make your own decisions.

Some of the things we can help you with are:

- Moving into new accommodation and setting up a tenancy
- Working with you around any problems you are facing in your home which         may lead you to becoming homeless
- Working with you to learn new skills to help you live independently
- Working with you to make sure you are receiving all your benefits
- Helping you to find out what is going on in your local area that you might what to get involved with
- Helping you with getting back to work
- Helping you access physical and mental health services, and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Emergency Placements

In situations where there is an urgent need for temporary or short term care, we are able to organise accommodation and support. The placement may occur through breakdowns in care home placements, foster care or when a young person needs to be bailed from custody at the local police station. These types of placements may be required out of office hours which makes it difficult to house them immediately with most providers. the service also comes with 'responsible adult' service where a member of staff will receive the child from custody or detention over an offence that has resulted in an arrest.

Activities - Engaging our young people

In our support plan strategy we work with young people to know their wants, needs, motivations and aspirations. To ensure we achieve maximum participation in the support or service users receive, we ensure they are an integral part of their own destiny by inviting them at the support planning stage. The idea is to keep young people busy with positive activities that best suits them.
